There is limited evidence to suggest that shockwave therapy may enhance the results of CoolSculpting, a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that uses cryolipolysis to freeze and destroy fat cells.

WHAT IS SHOCKWAVE THERAPY?

Shockwave therapy, also known as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), is a treatment that uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate healing and improve the appearance of the skin. Shockwave therapy has been shown to be effective in a variety of conditions, including plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and chronic tendonitis.

CASE STUDIES ON COMBINING SHOCKWAVE THERAPY WITH COOLSCULPTING ELITE

There have been a few small studies that have looked at the use of shockwave therapy in combination with CoolSculpting. One study published in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology found that the combination of CoolSculpting and shockwave therapy was effective in reducing fat and improving the appearance of cellulite. The study included 20 patients who received CoolSculpting treatments followed by shockwave therapy, and the results showed a significant reduction in fat and improvement in the appearance of cellulite.

Another study published in the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy also found that the combination of CoolSculpting and shockwave therapy was effective in reducing fat and improving the appearance of cellulite. The study included 50 patients who received CoolSculpting treatments followed by shockwave therapy, and the results showed a significant reduction in fat and improvement in the appearance of cellulite. Overall, these studies suggest that shockwave therapy may enhance the results of CoolSculpting, particularly in terms of reducing fat and improving the appearance of cellulite. However, it is worth noting that these studies are relatively small and more research is needed to fully understand the benefits of using shockwave therapy in combination with CoolSculpting.
